July 9th was the deadline for candidates to file their contribution and expense reports, so let’s get to it.
Chief Magistrate Judge
Jason Hasty: raised $10,645.95 during this past reporting period for a total to date of $20,910.95.
Christopher Hudson: raised $10,570.65, including $4,505 in interest, during this past period for a total to date of $35,745.65
Jason Troiano: raised $12,193 during this past reporting period for a total to date of $36,213
A few things to note: Hudson disclosed that he paid a total this period of $12,601.51 to Southeastern Marketing. Last we knew, this place was run by someone tied to convicted felon Linda Schrenko.
Troiano was given $500 from Pete Theodocion, a high profile criminal defense attorney who has a history of defending clients who appear to be guilty as hell. He defended Scott Dean in case you forgot. Troiano was given $250 by Father Michael Roverse. We understand that this is Bobby Christine’s priest, and, Roverse has allegedly donated to Barack Obama’s campaign. We verified that he did give $500 to Obama. Why would a priest give anything but prayers to Obama? But this one did. He gave to Bobby Christine’s sidekick too. Troiano reportedly gave $390 to Young Republican head Megan Seda for “Political Management”. We probably will not endorse Hudson or Troiano. If this is what they disclosed, what are they hiding and what will they tolerate?
School Board district 1
Carolyn Chase: raised $2,130.
David Dekle: raised a total of $4,286 with many donors giving $101. Why? To have their names listed to feel important? His donor list has a bunch of lawyers on it which turns us off.
Brian Slowinski: no reports filed
County Commission district 2
Trey Allen: raised $2,350 during this past reporting period for a total to date of $3,680 And Trey “The Rent” Allen spent $1,949 with Southeastern Marketing.
Lee Benedict: raised $1,090 with no donations of more than $100 listed
County Commission district 3
Charles Allen: raised $7,651 during this past reporting period for a total to date of $42,423.45. WHOA! Charles Allen has been in office a year longer than Trey “Trump” Allen but raised 10 times more money. We suspect that Trey isn’t as liked as Charles.
Butch Holley: raised $715 during this past reporting period for a total to date of $1,195.01.
