OK Columbia County historians, let’s see what you know. This is our version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Let’s play.
What do these 3 Columbia County events have in common?
- Marshall Square lawsuit settlement
- Magnolia Trace vote
- Swimming pool for the Y
They were all negotiated before the 2010 primary election and reported about after the election.
(Immediately after the election there was some controversy concerning whether or not Austin Rhodes and Barry Paschal knew about the Marshall Square lawsuit settlement prior to the election. We know neither reported it.)
Why do you think that Ron Cross kept all of these great things out of his campaign literature, aka, the taxpayer-funded monthly water bill glossy insert? If the projects are so good for the county, why not brag about them through the water bill insert to try to garner votes for reelection? Why give the appearance of hiding them? We know why and we think you do too. Thank your commissioner for an open and honest government.
