Washington, DC…Evans…What’s The Difference?

Most people know that Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid have spent bunches of money irresponsibly and without regard for the massive debt.  We agree.  We are amazed at how most Columbia County residents ignore what Ron Cross and Ron Thigpen are doing and we know that Barry Paschal won’t say much about it.  We have nothing against any charity mentioned here, and we are not comparing one federal project to one local project.  We have issues with the Columbia County Commission picking and choosing who gets what, and look where the charities are located.  The government has no business giving taxpayer money to private organizations, even if they do good noble deeds.  If elected officials want to volunteer at various organizations or assist with fundraising, we support and encourage that.  Our main concern is the county throwing our money around selectively, and maybe as part of back scratching.  So we decided to do some comparison shopping and see how Washington stacks up against Evans…Obama vs. Cross…Reid vs. Thigpen…FREE, no pay per view here.  Remember, at least in Washington, DC the money they spend is voted on after debate.  Every county expenditure below was part of its consent agenda for the June 21, 2011 meeting only…NO DEBATE, just RINOs spending without discussing before the people.  Each expenditure was blessed by the Commission, remember that.  WHOA!  Can’t wait to see the next consent agenda.  Mr. Chairman, when can we expect for you to reach the people’s debt limit?  If $110,000,000+ and counting isn’t enough debt…what is?

  1. To much rambling in this article, no need to mention the coffee 8 times. After seeing several repeats, I lost interest and wanted to just quit reading.

  2. Agree with the other poster, you just rambled on and on and on. Make your point and move on with it. I have seen in your last few posts the same style of ranting. If you just make your point and move on then great. Additionally, while I agree that coverage from the NewsTimes sucks and Mr. Pascal needs to do a much better job of being a non-partisan editor, continuing to bring up the same points in each and every single one of your postings just pushes away the readers. My two cents would be to have someone else read over you write-ups prior to posting. This way you give a better perspective and it does not seem like you are just “crazy”.
